Tips to help you select a carpet cleaning service:
Finding a reputable carpet cleaning service can be a challenge, there are many companies that have poor quality carpet cleaning equipment that does not vacuum well or leaves a lot of water in the carpet. Many technicians do not have the proper training or just does not care! I worked for a company once that when we ran out of scotch guard the owner put water in the bottle and finished the job with just water. Ask neighbors and friends who they use and what kind of job do they do? Call the better business bureau to see if there are any complaints on the company you are considering.
Signs of a professional carpet cleaning service:
- Hot water extraction vacuum system most carpet warranties only honor this type of cleaning so check your carpet warranty information.
- Is the cleaning service certified?
- Ask for references try to get several just 1 or 2 maybe relatives or friends that benefit from lying to you.
- Do they have a guarantee?
- What is the drying time? It should not be more than a couple hours depending on the humidity in your area but no more than the next day. If it is longer than this then they do not have the proper equipment or training to do a professional job.
- Ask for an estimate and when they come out look at their equipment. Does it look neat is it a truck mount unit or a little hand unit? If it is not a big truck mount you probably will not get a good job. Ask them to explain the steps and take notes, this will help keep them honest when they do the job.
Be careful looking for a budget carpet cleaning service you usually get what you pay for. If they seem to charge a little more chances are they will do a better job. When they come out to clean the carpets observe them that they do what they said they would do but do not watch their every move this will probably make them nervous and you may not get as good of cleaning job, think of how you feel when someone is constantly watching you work. steam cleaners can clean lots of dirty clothes in a very short period of time that is why i always prefer to use them `;:
